GreatThings I Noticed Last Week:

Everyone did an awesome job during Knight Camp last week.  First of all – students only being allowed to go to their lockers before and after school made much bigger of an impact than I would have thought.   Downstairs, the hallways were so quiet.  I noticed very few students tardy because they have no where to go to stand around and talk!  Fabulous!

I heard many thank you and please throughout the school!  This will require us to stay on top of them, but it will be worth it!  Let’s be One Voice…One Message with this and create some lasting most splendid habits in our kids!

I noticed a few students holding the doors – this one is going to take longer, but we are going to stay on them!  Those students who we saw holding the door – we gave them Scholarly tickets.  Team NMS is changing the culture at NMS!

 Nuts and Bolts

The students have been told that tomorrow we begin giving tardies to students who are not in their seats, supplies with them, and working on the warm up.  This will be up to you, and certainly you can use your discretion on how you want this to work in your class.  If you notice any student who day after day does not have supplies, please call the parent and let them know the student is not prepared for class.  If the parent indicates it is a financial issue, Ms. Minga can certianly help with that situation.  Please let her know.

I put an article in your boxes about technology and change.  Please read it.  I think you will find it very interesting.  I certainly could relate to the ideas he was writing about.  I have found a lot of great articles, and I would like to give you one every other week.  Keep your eye out for them!! Those of you who are tweeting – this would be a great place to start!  Tweet your opinion on the articles!!

Have an awesome week!  Let’s all Dream Big…and Work Hard!
