Nuts and Bolts
Thank you everyone for your most excellent work last week during testing!  Everyone took STAAR very seriously, worked hard and showed support for the kids!  We have some more coming and I know it will go well also!!

Hey Team NMS – If you have not already signed up to vote for NMS at Discovery Ed – please do so.  The link is below:

I still see quite a few boxes in the foyer of the theater!  I will order more when they begin to disappear.  Below are some dates the building will be open on Saturdays for those of you who would like that opportunity.  You certainly don’t have to, but if you need that time, the dates are below:

Saturday, April 21  9:00-12:00
Saturday, May 5  9:00-4:00
Saturday, May 19  10:00-2:00
Please notice the times are different for each Saturday.
We will have a faculty meeting at some point where Alan Guzman from technology services will talk about packing up your docking station, etc…. Additional dumpsters have been ordered and will be housed in the North parking lot.  They should be here soon.

This week we are going to allow those students who returned their report card with a parent signature to have an intrmural during advisory. This will be on Wednesday.  We will be outside to watch those students and you will be recieving a set of tickets in  your box for those students.  Please be sure you sign the ticket.  Your Scholarly tickets will be in your box in the next few minutes.  Please be sure you sign those also.  If tickets are taken from you – please let us know so we can be on the lookout!  Thanks everyone for helping to shape our culture!  It truly takes One Voice…One Message

Although some STAAR testing is over,  we have much more to do!  Please keep your expectations high and hold tight to the kids!  There is a good two months left and the students have to know we mean business from here on out!!    We can be firm, yet kind in how we handle the students.

This week is a department meeting.  You will be going over some of the techniques from chapters 5 & 6 that are going to used next year.  Some teachers are trying them out now with really positive results!  There is no magic bullet – but working in our classrooms to build a culture of achievement and using the technqiues to incorportate all 5 principles is how NMS is going to earn our success next year!!!

Have a great short week!!
