NMS Faculty Bulletin 3-24-2014

Know our Kids, Meet their Needs, Up the Mountain to T-2-4!

I hope you all had an amazing spring break!  Things are going to be very busy for us these next couple of weeks!  This is the last week before 8th grade math and reading STAAR testing and 7th grade writing testing.  I know those classes will be focused and working from bell to bell.  We are down to the wire.   We looked at the practice scores at our faculty meeting last week.  We have a positive trajectory – and that is great.  NMS students are just as bright as any others and our teachers are the best!  We will make this happen.  Go Team NMS!

If you know you are not coming back to NMS, or you think there is a possibility of not coming back, I would greatly appreciate it if you would let me know!  Now is the time to start hiring the best candidates out therw ! Thanks for your help!!

Thursday night is Community Night – it is the expectation that all staff attend community night.  If you are a track coach – I understand you will be coaching that night.  All coaches who are not coaching track should be at Community Night.

This coming Saturday is our second Saturday School!  It is also  a Teaching Excellence Saturday.  Our Saturday school will be in Area 5 and Area 10, and we can also use the ISS room if needed.

I wanted to shout out everyone involved in the Faculty V Student Volleyball game on the Friday before we got out.  The pep rally was so fun – the activities were awesome, the band, One Direction, was great too!  Even Taylor Swift made an appearance!  Props to: Elizabeth, Katherine, Paula, George, Ahmad, and all the other faculty and staff who helped with the pep rally, or played on the team!  It was really fun and the kids had a great time!  I was really proud to be a Knight!
